Note:

These items were recorded on a Brush Sound Mirror paper-based tape recorder. This session circulated on tape and was later released
on Spotlite before the Benedetti cache was issued by Mosaic. The Mosaic set is sonically better.
The Parker Quintet played three weeks at the Three Deuces (March 30-April 11). After this, Davis played a week at the Apollo Theatre
with "Symphony Sid's Bop Concert," an all-star band including Kay Winding [sic], Allen Eager, Milt Jackson, Tadd Dameron, Curley
Russell, Max Roach, and Earl Coleman. In late March or early April, Monte Kay began booking bop concerts on Tuesday nights at the
Royal Roost, and the Symphony Sid group was booked at the Roost beginning April 23. The bop shows were so successful that the Roost
quickly moved to bebop seven nights a week. A Parker-led group was booked at the Roost throughout May and early June.
Numbers in parentheses indicate the place of the item in the Mosaic box. "(4/1)" means that this item is on disc 4, track 1.
